A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35

Care Group Ministry is a model of the first century church that early Christians experienced. They met in the temple courts and in homes. In their homes they met their extended family in a warm, personal setting. They devoted themselves to the teaching and application of God's word in their daily life, they worshipped, they prayed, they exercised spiritual gifts, they stretched their faith, and they sharpened one another as iron sharpens iron.

The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. That simply doesn't happen just in the sanctuary of the church on Sunday morning but as we gather together and discuss God's Word and how to apply His teaching in our lives. The goal of this fellowship that we experience in our Care Group is to take the education of God's Word we receive on Sunday, discuss its application in our lives so there can be real transformation that occurs as a result. It's an ideal way that God has called us to be connected, dependent, and related to one another. In gathering together, we find answers to the needs in our lives.

As you gather together with other followers of Jesus; to share your needs and concerns in a loving environment you will be encouraged as well as encouraging others. This is what happened in the early church as it is recorded in Scripture.

They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship and to the breaking of bread and to prayer; Everyone was filled with awe, miraculous signs were done…..all believers were fellowshipping together, all sharing together with their different talents, accepting one another with equal significance and they gave to anyone in need; they continuously met together at the church, in their homes, with glad and sincere hearts, praising God… enjoying the love for all of God's people and the Lord added to their number those who were being saved . Acts 2: 42-47
